Your audience is unplugging. Are you ready? 🌍
Trending Now: The "deplug" movement and why your audience is trading screens for streets (and what to do about it). Read below ↓
💬 Can We Talk About Screen Fatigue?
Real talk: How many hours did you spend on your phone yesterday?
5 hours? 7 hours? More?
No judgment. Most of us are in the same boat. The average person spends over 7 hours a day staring at screens and honestly? We're all exhausted.
Here's what's wild: your audience feels the same way.
And they're doing something about it.
The "Deplug" Movement Is Here
People aren't quitting the internet (let's be real, that's not happening). But they ARE reclaiming their time, attention, and presence.
What we're seeing:
Digital detoxes going mainstream
Phone-free events selling out
Third spaces (coffee shops, bookstores, galleries) packed with people who just want to... exist
Your audience doesn't want to scroll less. They want to connect better.
And increasingly, that means getting offline.
Where This Shows Up:
Instead of massive concerts, people want intimate listening parties where they can actually talk to the artist.
Instead of following brands on Instagram, they want pop-up events where they can experience the brand IRL.
Instead of joining another Facebook group, they want real communities: run clubs, book clubs, creative collectives where they show up in person.
The vibe is: human-scale. Curated. Intentional.
And honestly? It's beautiful.
What This Means for You:
If you're an artist, creative, or brand, this is your opportunity.
Your superfans don't just want your content anymore. They want access. They want to be in the room. They want to experience your work, not just consume it through a screen.
🎤 For musicians: Think secret shows, listening parties, studio sessions where fans watch you create.
🎨 For photographers/visual artists: Think gallery shows, photo walks, portfolio reviews.
🎧 For DJs: Think pop-up sets, vinyl nights, curated experiences.
⚡ For brands: Think activations, installations, community-building events.
You don't need a massive production. You need intention. And maybe 15-50 people in a room who genuinely care.
"But What If No One Shows Up?"
Yeah, we hear that fear a lot.
Hosting IRL events can feel vulnerable. What if it's awkward? What if you don't know how to facilitate? What if only 3 people come?
Here's the thing: Your audience is already craving this.
They're literally unplugging and looking for places to show up. They WANT to be in the room with you. They want real connection.
You just have to create the space for it.
Start small. A coffee shop. A listening party in someone's living room. A workshop at a local studio.
You don't need it to be perfect. You just need it to be real.
💡 How to Start:
This next quarter, plan ONE intimate event for 2026.
Doesn't matter what it is. Just something human-scale where your audience can experience your work and connect with you (and each other) in real life.
Use your digital platforms to promote it. Build anticipation. Then show up and be present, not performing for content, but actually there.
Document it (a little). Share the vibe. But prioritize presence over posting.
Then watch what happens.
We bet you'll be surprised by how much people needed this. And how much YOU needed it too.
